Nine first-time visitors, among the 39 guests, enjoyed Daisy Nardi’s refreshing cantaloupe-peppermint smoothie at last Sunday’s “cool recipes” cooking class.

Rosa Soria showed the class what to look for in stores for the garlic Tofutti® spread and demonstrated how to make spring rolls using RAW rice-paper wraps.

Katrina Hart showed the class how to use pasta made from brown rice to make salads and, also, how to make creamy cashew dressing and lemon vinaigrette dressing.

A big surprise for one man, who doesn’t really enjoy cooked collards, was Daisy’s RAW collard wraps. In his words, they were the best dish found on the buffet table, although others thought the spread and one of the pasta salads were the real “hit” of the afternoon.
