The fifth annual Let’s Move Day 5K Race on September 18, sponsored by the Patterson Avenue Seventh-day Adventist Church, drew a record crowd. Almost 500 kids and adults participated in either the 2K or 5K race! This family-friendly event is offered to the public at no cost.

We deeply appreciate the army of volunteers who worked hard behind the scenes to advertise, set up for the event, register the attendees, prepare appetizing food, give foot massages, act as crossing guards, and help out in a variety of other ways. We are very grateful to our sponsors, local businesses, and individual donors, whose generosity helped make this event possible.

While many of this year’s participants have made the event an annual tradition, there were lots of newcomers as well. We especially want to invite our new friends to join our regulars at our annual fall cooking class on Sunday, November 13 at 4:00 p.m. at Patterson Avenue Seventh-day Adventist Church.

This cooking class is a great way to continue improving your overall health by incorporating healthy food in addition to exercise into your lifestyle. The class includes live demonstrations and the opportunity to sample tasty dishes.

Put some HAPPY in your holiday with easy, delicious, plant-based recipes. Register HERE.
